Thrissur is located in the state of Kerala. It is the southern most part of India and it is 270 km from the Thiruvananthapuram which is capital of the Kerala. This city is famous for sacred sites and colorful festivals. The famous temple like Sri vadakkunnathan temple which is the oldest temple in Thrissur, South Vrindavan temple, Sri Sankarakulangara and Maheshwara temple. South vrindavan temple located in Edakkalathur which is the 16 km from Thrissur. This place is famous for tourist as well as film shooting. There are many film shot here like Adaminte Makan abu, Chemmeen, D company, Happy wedding, Ittymaani : Made in China, Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla, Nammal, Neelakasham Pachakadal chuvanna Bhoomi, Newspaper boy, Laloorinu parayanullathu, Pranchiyettan and the saint, Punnagai Mannan, Punyalan agarbattis, Punyalan private limited, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, Unda, vaadamalli, varsham, Thrissur pooram etc.

How to reach there?

Thrissur is well- connected by railways, airways and roadways. If you are travelling from other part of India, so you can reach to Thrissur station by train. If you are not comfortable in train due to overcrowded you can travel by car as well. Thrissur is just 1200-1300 km from the Mumbai(Bombay) it takes 22-24 hours from Mumbai by train. If you are travelling from other country, You can reach to Cochin international airport which is 50 km from Thrissur. You can reach to Thrissur from Kochi by train and Kerala state bus. It takes 1 hours to reach the Thrissur by train.

Time to visit

Best time to visit in Kerala in winter season between November to March after rainy season. Avoid in  the summer season because its too hot . The temperature reach upto 36  degree in the summer season. So it is difficult to travel in summer season.
